I draw these sort of images whilst on the phone at my horrid call centre job. It’s a time filler, as well as an experiment in doing something creative with found objects (the pens and papers are located from within my office).

I used to bring supplies into work to create with, but I’ve since found a great deal more satisfaction arriving at work with nothing, sourcing materials, and leaving with only my image. My aim is find a unused pen at the start of my day, and to leave it dry by day’s end.

'Palimpsest' is a hand-drawn animation in which I traced an image, then traced that image, then traced that image, then traced that image… and so on. Roughly 300 images in total.

I traced each image as meticulously as I could; the distortion that occurs is not intentional nor shepherded in anyway.

Yet another video test; done for the hell of it. Was initially made for a video clip, and is (obviously) a very initial test into this experiment. First and foremost, it’s crazy over-exposed. Secondly, the image needs to be much smaller, with the hole being almost pinhole-like. I’ll do another of these shortly and paste it up
